Yakisugi is the ancient Japanese technique of charring wood to produce deeper organic tones. Understanding Yakisugi is incredibly challenging, but our artisans assure that each piece is carefully charred to perfection.
Carbonised has been updated, with new and improved versions of some of our finest floors. Moth II is no exception, now being crafted using the finest European Larch. Our design heritage has again progressed.
Our artisans use European Larch due to its broad open grain and malleable nature when charred. This creates a sculptured, much more well-defined texture.
Moth II has graceful tones within and is defined by its Naked Skin Lacquer finish which grants an invisible, unfinished look. We recommend using Moth II on both floors and walls.
Any architectural details for the Carbonised collection need careful consideration and planning, so please enquire about such at the earliest possible occasion. Architectural details are available upon request and are made to complement the tonal values of your floor. Maintaining this floor is effortless with our Care System 1.
