Rich in character and texture, it is hard to beat the rustic charm of antique original face Elm. In the 1970’s much of the Elm population was devastated by Dutch Elm Disease and because of this Elm today can only be acquired from private residences, old barns and public spaces. Crafted from centuries-old woods, Mayer is available as random width planks, continuous Versailles, chequerboard, finger block, parquet de Ardeche and parquet de Versailles, making perhaps it the most versatile floor Woodworks has to offer. With a deep coloring, a hand-polished texture, and an original patina. Our artisans have hand-restored each board, engineering a 20mm/ ¾” thick board with a thick wear layer of up to 6mm, making Mayer more than capable of dealing with the challenge of high traffic and the demands of everyday life. Architectural details are available upon request and are made to complement the tonal values of your floor. Please care for this floor using Care System 2.
