Burmese Teak

Rare Finds Collection
Colonial Burmese Teak Plank Rare Finds

To reclaim this Teak, we traveled over 5,000 miles to Burma (Myanmar), extracting them as floorboards from a South Asian 19th-century colonial home.

Native to the tropics, Teak is valued for both its beauty and durability. Teak is aptly nicknamed “the king of the hardwoods” due to its extreme stability. Unlike North American timbers that utilized waterways for transportation, Teak was transported by land using elephants, giving it a completely different look and feel.

Known for its beautiful, tight grain, this timber ages gracefully to a regal silver, adding a luxurious feel to all interiors. Plus, you’ll find all of the natural features that you come to expect from a reclaimed floor – with swirling grain patterns, natural imperfections, and manmade alterations scattering across each and every one of these random lengths and width planks.

Bring the past, and the natural world, into your project, with the ultimate Teak floor, Colonial Burmese Teak.

Architectural details are available upon request and are made to complement the tonal values of your floor. Please care for this floor using Care System 2.
