During this period, the oak undergoes a transformation, losing tension, settling its wood fibers, and hardening its knots. This patient process accentuates the flow of the grain and the undulating, rolling texture of the Oak, ensuring that this floor both feels and looks its absolute best. The skip-sawn surface adds a naturally worn feel, complemented by clearly defined micro beveled edges. Finally, Selene is finished with Naked Skin Lacquer, making it exceptionally durable.
